Announcements: Week of September 8th

Habitat for Humanity Fall Build:  We are in need of volunteers, ages 16+, to help build homes at Flowers Place. A challenge is extended to Poplar Springs ministries, sororities, fraternities, and other community groups to sign up and volunteer for at least one date (if we fill this one, a second date can be requested!  The kickoff event is on September 21st, when the entire coalition of churches will join together to start the building.  We would like Poplar Springs to sponsor the build on November 16th with at least 15 Volunteers.  All volunteers must register through this link: http://vhub.at/fallapostlesbuild.  For more information, contact the Church Administrator at administrator@poplar-springs.org.

New Generation Choir rehearsal in September has been cancelled.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. In recognition of Prostate Cancer, please wear light blue on September 22nd. Thanks from the Cancer Support Ministry. 

Online Member Portal – As a reminder to existing disciples and a note to new disciples, our online Member Portal is now live. You can login to update your contact information, upload family/individual pictures for the online directory and access your financial contributions throughout the year. If you have an email address on file, you can set up your profile to the Member Portal using this link: https://servantkeeper.com/member-portal/PSCC. Ladies, please join our Tea Time end-of-summer outing on Sept. 21, 2024, from 1-3 pm, at Kanki Japanese House, 4500 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh. Please sign up in the Copier Room by Sept. 15, 2024.

The Women’s Retreat Committee will hold its last meeting with the ladies attending the retreat after the morning service on Sunday, September 15th.

The Youth Ministry is in need of teachers for Youth Church. Please contact Pastor Eric Sconiers if you are interested at youth@poplar-springs.org.

The Transportation Ministry is in need of new members. If you are looking for a place to serve and want to be apart of this ministry, please see any member of the Trustee Ministry, or call the church.

The Men’s Ministry meets weekly on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. at the Poplar House. For more information, call Nathaniel Washington (703-789-1109).
