Announcements: Week of June 9th
Connecting Couples is hosting the first of the quarterly Couples Kickbacks! Join us in an intimate home setting Saturday, June 29, at 4:00 for good food, fun, and other surprises. Nonmembers are always invited. Space is limited, so sign up for the copier room if you would like to join us. You can also email connecting-couples@hotmail.com to sign up.
If you have already signed up, we will collect for the Barn Dinner theater today in classroom #1. The show date is July 27th at 6 p.m. The final payment is due June 23rd. The cost is $69/pp. Checks can be made out to PSCC, and cash is accepted.
Attention All Saint Augustine’s Falcons! If you are an alumnus, have attended St. Augustine’s, or have any affiliation with the university, we greatly need you for SAU Sunday at Poplar Springs. Please put your information on the Saint Augustine’s info sheet in the copier room, or you may send it to Arielle McMillan at mcmillanarielle@gmail.com.
All graduating high school seniors are eligible for a scholarship to the college they choose to attend. Contact the Scholarship Ministry, Deacon Lattie Baker, or Robert Braswell for more info and application.
The Scholarship Ministry would like to recognize all elementary, middle school, high school, and college students for their school year achievements and recognitions for church ministries, community service, clubs, and public service activities. A copy/record of all achievements/recognitions is not required. You will receive recognition by completing the form located on the church website.
The Youth Ministry is in need of teachers for Youth Church. Please contact Pastor Eric Sconiers if you are interested at youth@poplar-springs.org.
The Transportation Ministry is in need of new members. If you are looking for a place to serve and want to be a part of this ministry, please see any member of the Trustee Ministry, or call the church.
The Men’s Ministry meets weekly on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. at the Poplar House. For more information, call Nathaniel Washington (703-789-1109).
