Announcements: Week of August 23

The Food Bank is in need of volunteers for the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays and the 1st and 4th Mondays. Volunteers must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Please see Katherine Branch for more information.

We will have a special call meeting of importance Thursday, August 27, at 7:00 p.m., open for disciples only.  This meeting will require a vote from you so we need as many disciples as possible to participate. You have two methods of participation: you may call in using 646-558-5686 or you can use Zoom. Both options will ask for a meeting ID which is 919 772 5151 along with our normal password (if you are not sure of the password, call the church office). Your participation is needed and appreciated.

Tea Time is back. Ladies, we miss you and invite you to join us Sunday, September 6, at 5:00 p.m., from the comfort of your home with your fuzzy slippers. Grab a cup of tea or your favorite beverage to join us for a conversation. The Zoom meeting link will be on church’s calendar. The meeting ID is Meeting ID: 924 0791 3385. See you soon.

Family Caregiver – During these recent weeks, we recognize that the care needed for your loved one may have increased. The AARP-CC2C team is here to support you.  If they can assist you, please send an email to CC2CAARP@gmail.com or call the church secretary.  We will be in touch as quickly as possible.  Stay encouraged – you are not alone.

The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is 25 days before the election, which is October 9. The easiest way to register is online, via the NC DMV website.  You can log in using an account, or continue as a guest, which means an account is not required. Please remember that your vote is your voice!  The website is: https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/offices-services/online/Pages/voter-registration-application.aspx?fbclid=IwAR2aE7Tq2C9448JUrK02bp65bg4rXt3yDc6GvJRljF29IxX8tKcv8A9kCjU

The A.B. Davis is traveling to Lancaster, PA, October 14 – 16, 2020.  Please contact the church for more information.
