  • Join CC2C Outreach on Thursday, August 27th @ 7pm on Zoom. Simone Clark-Taylor from SPADES will present valuable information and tips for your Estate needs, Paid Caregiving, saving money, your home care, and much more. All are welcome!!
  • New Generation Choir will rehearse Saturday, August 29, at 11:00.
  • Join Dr. William Chavis and his “Bible Study Buddies Online” for informative small-group discussions and analysis. We have been meeting since February 15, 2015, and have continued to this day. Starting this fall session, we will meet twice monthly on Google Meet, beginning September 19, 2026. Our topic of study will be the book, The False White Gospel, by Jim Wallis. This book explores the influence of White Christian Nationalism and right-wing political ideology. This distorted viewpoint is being taught in many prominent white churches and contradicts the gospel message. White Christian Nationalism takes a narrow view of original Biblical principles and does not include all races in God’s call for faith, love and justice. (Luke 4:18-19). So, if you want to become a Bible Study Buddy, contact Dr. Chavis at williamchavis@gmail.com
  • The Men’s Ministry retreat is collecting toiletries and hygiene products, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. for the Adam’s Place men’s shelter in Washington, DC. Please support their efforts by placing your items in the designated boxes located at the front and rear entrance of the church. Items will be collected until August 22.
  • The video announcement launched and will play before and after service. To request a video announcement, you must complete the Video Announcement Form, which can be found on the Church’s website, Media Room, or outside the Secretary’s Office. Standard announcements will continue to display during the offering time. Disciples are asked only to request to present an announcement during morning service if the event is the current week and has NOT been submitted for a Video or Standard announcement. Announcements which have already been submitted should not be requested to be announced during the morning service.
