Announcements: Week of April 19th

We will have a Church Conference on Thursday, April 30th, at 7:00 pm.
 
The Missionary Ministry will host its 3rd annual free give-away event on Saturday, May 16th, 10:00—3:00 pm. Please feel free to bring in any gently used items you are not using that someone can use. Donations will be accepted May 11-15, Monday—Friday, 10:00 am—6:00 pm.
 
Video Announcements will play before and after the service. To request a video announcement, you must complete the Video Announcement Form, which can be found on the Church’s website, Media Room, or outside the Secretary’s Office. Standard announcements will continue to display during the offering time. Disciples are asked only to request to present an announcement during morning service if the event is in the current week and has NOT been submitted for a Video or Standard announcement. Announcements that have already been submitted should not be requested to be announced during the morning service.
 
 
The Missionary Ministry would like to invite everyone to join them on April 26th as they celebrate their annual Missionary Day.  We would love for everyone to join us and wear all white on this day as we celebrate missionaries.

Relay for Life at Lake Benson Park of Garner will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 4 pm – 10 pm. Please support this annual event.

LADIES! Women’s Retreat 2026 information is ready. The flyer and registration form are located in the Narthex and the rear of the church on yellow paper. Please get the forms and register today! Payments we have already received will apply to your room choice.

Are you excited and interested in joining a committee that is extending the reach and presence of Poplar Springs? Calling All Youth – If you are between 10 and 18 years old, the Youth Usher Ministry needs you! Ushering offers our youth an opportunity to be the 1st impression of the congregation. The only requirement is a friendly spirit and heart for service. Our youth ushers are trained by adult ushers/leaders. The Transportation Ministry needs new members. If you are looking for a place to serve and want to be a part of this Ministry, please see any member of the Trustee Ministry or call the church.

The Men’s ministry meets weekly on Tuesdays, 7:00 pm at the Poplar House. Call Nathaniel Washington (703-789-1109) for more information.
