Poplar Springs Christian Church Summer Camp (PSCC) is excited about summer camp and hope you will consider joining us. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, fun and engaging experience for your child. If you are interested, in enrolling your child in PSCC Summer Camp and/or need more information, please see Sherria Grubbs. You can register in the narthex after each service or in the church office.

Saint Augustine University Day at Poplar Springs Christian Church is June 5th at 9:30am. President Everett Ward will be our guest speaker. We are asking all Saint Augustine supporters to wear blue and white or Saint Augustine’s apparel. Please invite your friends and alumnus.

Saint Augustine Alumni/Support Group members if you have not made your donation, please see Mildred Keith after the 8:00am service and Deacon Lattie Baker after the 10:30am service near the mail boxes by the back door. Please make sure the office your name if you are an alumnus.

Race for the Cure 2016 – Saturday, June 11. Team Poplar Springs is ready for you to signup online and fund raise. Paper registration forms are in the Narthex and Rear Lobby. Come on Poplar – Let’s Create another WINNING TEAM Against Breast Cancer!

A.B. Davis Fellowship Ministry – is preparing for their 2nd Annual Queen for a Day celebration. If you are interested in participating, please sign up in the copier room. The program will be held on Sunday, September 11.

A.B. Davis Fellowship Ministry – is planning their biannual trip. They will be traveling to Charleston, SC on October 20-22, 2016. For more information or to travel with them, contact Tina Smith or Mildred Keith.

Media Ministry – is currently looking for dedicated volunteers to work on Sundays and special events. Contact Neal Boyke at 919-608-5117 or Jackie Branch at 919-779-2628 for more information.

Students Annual Recognition and Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, June 25 at 4:00 p.m. Each year the Scholarship Ministry recognizes all students of Poplar Springs for their accomplishments made during the year. These accomplishments can be church, school or community related. We will celebrate our students, by honoring them and their families with a banquet.

We are asking all students to complete the Student Annual Banquet Awards and Recognition Form, located on the table near the Pastor’s Office and in the Narthex. The form should be completed and returned to the Scholarship mailbox or given to any member of the Scholarship Ministry. THE DEADLINE IS SUNDAY, JUNE 12. Any forms received after the deadline, will result in students’ names being omitted from the student recognition program booklet.

Please print the form(s) to minimize errors and complete it in its entirety. A separate form must be completed for each child. The information will be read on Saturday, June 25at the banquet.

If you are a preschool, high school/college graduate, you do not need to complete an additional form. Your graduation information has already been submitted.

The Awards and Recognition Banquet will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 4:00pm in the church fellowship hall.
