Cynthia Jacko, our former Assistant Minister of Music, will be licensed as a minister this afternoon at 3:00 p.m., Baptist Grove Church, 7109 Leesville Road. She has invited the Poplar Springs family to attend.

A Hat & Tea Fundraiser, hosted by BETA LAMBDA SIGMA PHILOS, will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 3:00-5:00 p.m., at Lea Community Family Center, located at 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC. There will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners for the BEST DRESSED Hat, Door Prizes, and light refreshments will be served. Contact Diane Green 919-247-2977. Tickets are $15.

AARP CC2C’s next event, Financial Planning and Estate Workshop, will be with Watts Chapel on Saturday, June 23, 2018, 10:30am to noon. Please sign up in the copier room – a headcount is needed for refreshments. You do not have to be a member of AARP to attend.

2018 Annual Graduation/Youth Recognition Awards and Banquet – Each year the Scholarship Ministry recognizes all students of Poplar Springs for their accomplishments made during the year. These accomplishments can be church, school, athletic, or community related. We will celebrate our graduates and students by honoring them and their family with a banquet on Saturday, June 23, 2018, 4:00 p.m. in the PSCC Fellowship Hall. The Scholarship Ministry is asking all graduates and students to complete the Graduation/Youth Recognition Form found on the table near Pastor Brooks’ office or on the church website. The form should be completed in print and returned to the Scholarship mailbox located on the table next to Pastor Brooks’ office or emailed to or given to any member of the Scholarship Ministry. The DEADLINE to submit the form is tomorrow, June 4. This information will be highlighted on Saturday, June 23, at the Annual Graduation/Youth Banquet. On Sunday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. , ALL Preschool, High School, and College graduates will be recognized at the Graduation/Youth Day Program.

The Young Adult Ministry is collecting back packs for their annual back pack drive. Collection sites are in the hall near the mailboxes and in the narthex. Thank you for your support!

If you want to be a “doorkeeper” for the Lord and you are ready to serve with a smile, the Adult Usher Ministry is seeking new members! Adult male and female ushers are needed for worship services.
