Announcements: Week of August 21

The Cathy Chavis Care’s “Back to School Supplies” will be disbursed today after service in the church office.

There will be a brief meeting with the congregation immediately after service next Sunday, (August 28, 2016).

LAMBS rehearsal will be on Saturday, September 10 at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Spouses of the Deacons – will meet on Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the conference room.

Save the Date – Saturday, September 24, The End of Alzheimer’s Starts with You – Raleigh/Durham (Triangle) Walk.

If you are creative, willing, hardworking and a team player – the 2017 Youth Retreat Planning Committee needs you. The initial meeting will be Wednesday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All ages are welcome to work on this committee. If you are interested sign up in the copier room.

A.B. Davis Fellowship Ministry – is planning their biannual trip. They will be traveling to Charleston, SC on October 20-22, 2016. This trip is open to anyone, limited seats are available. For more information or to travel with them, contact Tina Smith or Mildred Keith.

Preschool Ministry will be taking their summer break and will not hold the preschool ministry for the entire month of August. We will resume the 1 Sunday in September. If anyone would like to volunteer to be a teacher or youth volunteer with the preschool ministry, please contact Durenda Johnson Ward at 919-332-1918 or via email at durendaward@gmail.com.
