PSCC Summer Camp: We offer eight weeks of summer camp from June 17 – August 9. You may register for as many weeks as you would like with a two-week minimum. Camp will operate from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The weekly camp fee for the 2019 summer is $60 per child, with a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $50—convenient payment plan is available. Registration begins February 4. We offer an Early Bird Registration Fee of $35; Early Bird registration ends April 5. A summer camp registration form can be picked up from the church office. PSCC Summer Camp Lead Counselor Position: We are looking for someone 21 years or older who is excited to work as a lead counselor in our summer camp, someone who will serve as a professional role model for our counselors and our campers. The lead counselor will work closely with the camp directors, help with and participate in planning the daily activities, field trips and more. The lead counselor works directly with the camp counselors, parents, and campers. This is a temporary summer position. Poplar disciples who need your 2018 Financial Statement are asked to sign up in the finance office.

The New Generation Choir will have rehearsal on February 23 from 2:00—3:30 p.m.

The Scholarship Ministry will recognize all elementary, middle school, high school and college students who made the honor roll, President’s List, or Dean’s List during the Fall 2018/Winter 2019 Semesters (1st quarter, 2nd quarter or both).  Place a COPY of your report card or transcript in the Scholarship Ministry mailbox using the provided envelopes or send a copy via email to scholarship@poplar-springs.org no later than Sunday, February 17. We will not be able to accept text messages.  Remember for every “C” or “2” there must be an “A” or “4”. Students who submit report cards after the deadline will be recognized during the Spring Honor Roll Recognition.

AARP- 2019 – “Count Me Faithful” will have a Meet & Greet on Sunday, February 17, following the morning service in the Fellowship Hall.  We invite ALL men and women, family caregiver(s), those interested in becoming a caregiver buddy, or if you are coping with the loss of a loved one – please join us. Refreshments will be served.

Please donate portable heaters for families in need. The Abraham Sunday School class need your help with donations of portable heaters to help families in need for the upcoming winter months. Distribution will be first to those in our church family, then to those in the community. Contact Trustee Kevin Ragland at (919) 449-6444 or Deacon Al McCutcheon at (919) 723-1233. If you are in need of a heater, please sign up in the copier room.

As a courtesy to our neighbors on Poplar Springs Church Street and as a safety precaution, please do not double park on Poplar Springs Church Street. We are happy to accommodate you with parking on the hill and our shuttle drivers are happy to assist you with getting to and from the church before and after service. Anyone interested in joining the First Aid Ministry should contact Vanessa Snellings, Chairperson, at 919-272-8654 or vsnellings@aol.com. To participate you should have a serving spirit and be willing to obtain a First Aid CPR certification. Meetings are the third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.
