Attention Upcoming Poplar Springs Graduates! The Scholarship Ministry is accepting applications for the Carolyn J. Sapp Professional Award. The Carolyn J. Sapp Professional Award allows us to honor Carolyn’s memory by recognizing a Poplar Springs undergraduate student who is preparing to enter the job market and who has demonstrated a true spirit of faith-based professionalism and excellence.  To qualify, applicants must be a college junior or senior. Applications can be picked up in the secretary’s office or from any member of the Scholarship Ministry. Submit a two-page essay that contains the following details: 1) How applicant has demonstrated professionalism and excellence in their community, church, academic, personal and professional activities; 2) Applicant’s plans after graduation; and 3) How applicant has made and will continue to make a positive impact in their community. The deadline for submitting an application is November 30, 2017.

A. B. Davis Fellowship Ministry First Annual Bake sale will be Sunday, December 17. We are in need of bakers to support us with this effort. Please sign up in the copier room with the type of dessert you will donate. Please bring your donated sweet treats to the church Saturday, December 16, 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.

The Cancer Support Ministry will meet on December 16, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend the meeting.
