2018 Annual Graduation/Youth Recognition Awards and Banquet – Each year the Scholarship Ministry recognizes all students of Poplar Springs for their accomplishments made during the year. These accomplishments can be church, school, athletic, or community related. We will celebrate our graduates and students by honoring them and their family with a banquet on Saturday, June 23, 2018, 4:00 p.m. in the PSCC Fellowship Hall. The Scholarship Ministry is asking all graduates and students to complete the Graduation/Youth Recognition Form found on the table near Pastor Brooks’ office or on the church website. The form should be completed in print and returned to the Scholarship mailbox located on the table next to Pastor Brooks’ office or emailed to scholarship@poplar-springs.org or given to any member of the Scholarship Ministry. The DEADLINE to submit the form is Sunday, June 4. This information will be highlighted on Saturday, June 23, at the Annual Graduation/Youth Banquet. On Sunday, June 24, 10:00 a.m., ALL Preschool, High School, and College graduates will be recognized at the Graduation/Youth Day Program.
If you are a Preschool, High School, or College graduate, please contact the church office at 919-772-5151 to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Veronica Wall to take your FUN graduation picture to be posted on the bulletin board and recognized during the Sunday Graduation Service. The schedule dates to take pictures are May 23 and June 2.
The Young Adult Ministry is collecting back packs for their annual back pack drive. Collection sites are in the hall near the mailboxes and in the narthex. Thank you for your support!
PSCC Youth Work-n-Play – Join us at Frankie’s Fun Park AFTER our Community Service event at Ronald McDonald House on Saturday, May 26. We will leave the church at 9:00 a.m. for community service from 10:00 – 1:00 p.m. and then head to Frankie’s. While at Ronald McDonald House, we will help with chores. We plan to return to the church around 7:00 p.m.
Parents, all youth ages 12 and under MUST have a parent accompany them at Ronald McDonald House AND at Frankie’s. Youth ages 13 and up will need to have a signed permission form to participate. Youth should bring money for food; ride and arcade tokens will be provided. SIGN UP TODAY ONLY in the copier room. Contact Robin Williams at for additional information at 919-410-9566.
Men’s Support Group, will start meeting again but the day/time has changed. The group will now meet on Saturdays from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Poplar House.
If you want to be a “doorkeeper” for the Lord and you are ready to serve with a smile, the Adult Usher Ministry is seeking new members! Adult male and female ushers are needed for worship services.
