Women's Retreat 2015 - Vickie Winans is Coming! August 21-23, 2015
Time is running out for registering and paying for the Women's StayTreat 2015 featuring Vickie Winans.  FINAL PAYMENT IS SUNDAY, JULY 12TH.  We need you ladies…so grab a friend and join us for this grand celebration. Two $200 sponorships are available to two ladies in need and want to attend the retreat.  The recipient must pay the $60 by July 12th.  Please complete the need request form and place in the Women's Retreat box located in the Copier Room.

Poplar Springs Alzheimer’s Team –“Lessie Mae Legacy” will be participating at the Town of Garner’s “Independence Day” celebration on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Lake Benson Park. STOP by the BINGO tent and say “Hi”.

New Disciples who have joined Poplar Springs from January until present are asked to come to the Fellowship Hall after service on Sunday, July 19th to have their pictures taken.

WE REACHED OUR STOP HUNGER NOW $10,000 GOAL!  Thank you PSCC for making this happen and the difference you will make to those who are hungry and need clean water.  We will need at least 100 volunteers on Sunday, August 9th, following the morning service to join us for preparing the Stop Hunger Now meals and water treatment kits.  Ministries are encouraged to volunteer.  Men, women, and children can all be a part of this volunteer effort.  This is a "family affair".  The sign-up sheets for volunteers is in the Copier Room.  The deadline for sign up is July 19, 2015

NC Food Bank Outreach Project - Poplar Springs outreach effort at the NC Food Bank is on Saturday, August 1, 2015.  Two shifts have been scheduled with a limited number of volunteers needed.  Ministries are asked to be a part of this fun-filled and worthwhile effort. Registration forms and the online registration is forthcoming. Please plan to be a part of this great outreach effort.

Youth Announcements

PSCC Summer Camp will be held June 9- August 14, 2015 for grades K-8. The camp is $50.00 per week with a $40.00 non-refundable registration fee. Registration and all fees must be paid in full prior to your child/children attending camp for the weeks they will be enrolled. A convenient payment plan is available. Kids Club - The Youth Mission Team is collecting school supplies for Kids Club in Brooklyn. The box for donations is located under the mailboxes.

Royal Family Kids Camp is in need of persons to help register 45-50 children that will be attending camp this year.  In addition, on Wednesday evening, July 22, several persons are needed to help with our annual carnival to assist the children with games, prizes, face painting, concessions, etc.  Camp will be held the week of July 19 -24 in Dunn, NC.  If you are interested, please contact Robyn Williams.

The Student Recognition Luncheon will be Saturday, July 18th, 2015. The purpose of the luncheon is to recognize all students of Poplar Springs for their accomplishments made during the 2014-2015 school year. We have a great program planned for you including our Leading Lady, Mrs. Regina Brooks.  Students please submit your Student Recognition Forms to the Scholarship Ministry by July 5, 2015. You may place your completed forms in the Scholarship Black Mailbox.  Please sign up in the copier room if you are planning to attend.

The Scholarship Ministry will recognize all elementary, middle school, high school and college students who made the honor roll, President’s List, or Dean’s List during the Spring Semester (3rd quarter, 4th quarter, or both).  All students who made the honor roll/list are encouraged to place a COPY of their report card in the Scholarship mailbox no later than Sunday July 5th, 2015.  Please remember for every “C” or “2” there must be an “A” or “4”.  Students being honored will be recognized during the 9:30 A.M. service on July 19th, 2015. Report Cards should be place in the designated envelope on the table next to the mailbox.
Report Cards received after July 5th, 2015 will be recognized at the next reporting period.
